Our Campsite
CAMPSITES
There are very few places in the world that you can explore the wilderness, be under the stars of Africa and in between the shades of the majestic Albida forest.
Chewore Campsite is one of those places.
Commonly referred to as ‘ Camping on Suite ‘ by our regulars, it is comfort not normally associated with camping. Every site is River facing and situated on the banks of the Zambezi.
At the back of the camp is a floodplain that often showcases elephants, lion, waterbuck, eland, baboons and warthog. Abundant with bird life it is also a birder haven!
Each site has their own flushing loos, a fire-lighted hot/cold shower with incredible water pressure, a simple pleasure after a day in the African bush, minus 40 deep freezer, 4-seater table with benches, a braai area and lights over the food prep area. Electrical power is provided.
The entire campsite is deliberately limited to 40 people and 10 boats to retain the tranquility and isolation of the bush that you have come seeking. Pitch your tents and make Chewore your home for the days you are with us.
As we invite you to make Chewore your home, we invite the animals too. For this reason, we do not have fences or boundaries that keep the animals out and so we ask you to be cautious while in and among Nature, herself.
